You Me Her, Season 2
You Me Her, television’s first “polyromantic comedy,” infuses the grounded and relatable sensibilities of an indie rom-com with a distinctive twist. What begins as an impulsive “date” between suburban husband Jack and neophyte escort Izzy spins into a whirlwind three-way affair, including Jack’s wife Emma. Their “arrangement” soon breaks free of its financial bonds to become something else entirely—a real romance with real stakes involving three real people. The second season of “You Me Her” continues its exploration of the topic of polyamory in realistic yet humorous manner. The threesome must handle societal, personal and professional challenges to living this way. In Season 2, things get even more complicated as their feelings for one another deepen and their lives continue to unfold.
When designing the key art for season 2, I wanted to draw attention to the strong bond between the wife and girlfriend and how the desire for their male partner was fading. Situating the charters in bed together helped clearly convey the nature of their relationship—and overlying problem. The campaign was created using black and white imagery, which I felt created a more personal and dramatic feel. I found inspiration in Calvin Kelvin’s black and white threesome ads and Madonna’s "Justify my love" music video.

The shows February 14th premiere date help influence what the PR KIT would be. When designing and constructing the heart shaped candy box I wanted it to looked similar to the key art. Provocative black and white images of the main characters where used in the bio section of the brochure, while the key art was placed over the cover and DVD. For an additional sexy touch, I added black spot gloss varnish that simulated French lace over the front cover of the brochure, and red metallic foil to the show's logo. Not only was this giveaway deliciously sexy, but also highly sought-after.
